WHO SHOULD COME?
If you’re a woman feeling weary, overwhelmed, or stretched thin, this weekend is for you. It’s an opportunity to push pause on the breakneck speed of your daily life, and create space for a deeper connection with God and other like-minded women. Whether you come alone or with friends, you’ll find a welcoming, authentic community and the freedom to simply show up.
LOGISTICS
The retreat will be held January 28 - January 31, 2027 at The Chapel of 30A – just minutes from Topsail Hill Preserve State Park.
For individual rooms, there are several hotels nearby, including: Courtyard by Marriott Sandestin, Hyatt Place Sandestin, Residence Inn at Sandestin, Home2 Suites Santa Rosa Beach, and Blue Mountain Villas.
For vacation rentals, we recommend looking in the Dune Allen neighborhood and booking through Five Star Properties or Dune Allen Realty.
If you’re flying, the closest airports are Destin-Fort Walton (VPS) or Panama City (ECB) airport. While Panama City is a bit farther, it’s a larger airport with more flight options. A rental car is highly recommended.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect to be comforted and challenged as you reconnect with (or discover for the first time) the truest version of yourself. This weekend is an opportunity to slow down, breathe, and step into the kind of adventure only God can write. Yes, there will be gifted speakers, breakout sessions, shared meals, and special activities—but more importantly, there will be space and freedom to make the experience your own.
This retreat is for the woman who is just beginning her faith journey, for the lifelong believer, and for everyone in between. Together, we’ll explore ancient practices of Christianity that most modern churches skim over. It isn’t new, but it’s likely new to you.
We’ll begin by building a foundation together through themes like:
Living in authentic community
Hearing from God
A reintroduction to the Holy Spirit
Seeing with the eyes of a 21st-century believer
From there, you’ll have the freedom to dive deeper into the topics that resonate most with you, including:
Renewing the mind
Inner healing and healing of memories
Prophetic prayer
Soul work vs. spirit work
Discovering true identity
Choosing rest and receiving over striving
Finding strength in adversity
The creative heart of God
Forgiveness and freedom from bitterness
Healing across generations
Journaling with God
Check out a sample schedule of what you can expect each day.
WHAT YOU’LL LEAVE WITH
A connection with the power of the Holy Spirit
Confidence in YOUR ability to hear from God
An understanding of your true identity
Community and connection with a group of authentic women
WHY WE’RE NOT LIKE OTHER RETREATS
No two women will have the same experience—this weekend is yours to shape. While many retreats overload you with information to sort through once you’re home, Wholehearted creates space for both: a shared foundation and the freedom to go deeper in the areas that matter most to you.
Our hope is that you leave not only refreshed, but also rooted in lasting connections—with God and with other women—that continue long after the weekend.
HOW TO PREPARE
While we never want to burden you with another commitment, a little preparation can help orient you for the weekend and make the experience even more meaningful. Our Resources page includes podcasts, sermons, messages, and books that we have found helpful in our Wholehearted journey. While none of this is mandatory, you may find these resources interesting and though-provoking. You can also find encouragement and connection with us on Instagram at @the_wholehearted_life.
